Scott A. Bartos
President and Chief Executive Officer

Scott BartosMr. Bartos has more than 20 years' experience as a healthcare executive and director, and was appointed President & CEO and a member of the Board of Directors of Rural/Metro Corporation in May 2013. He is an advisor to EDG Partners, LLC and is a Director of Alliance HealthCare Services, Inc., Cardiovascular Systems Inc. and Diabetes America, each since 2012. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Home Dialysis Plus. Mr. Bartos previously served as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director of LaVie Care Centers, a national long-term care company with revenues exceeding $1 billion annually, from July 2009 through the sale of the company in December 2011. From December 2008 to July 2009, Mr. Bartos was an Executive in Residence at Warburg Pincus LLC. Mr. Bartos was Division President for Gambro Healthcare, Inc. from 2000 to 2004 and COO-East from 2004 to 2005. Mr. Bartos previously was the founder, President, CEO and a Director of Endoscopy Specialists Inc. Mr. Bartos has extensive experience in business design, strategic planning, new product and service innovation, sales and marketing, and mergers and acquisitions with large, medium and small businesses in both public and private companies.
 

Stephen Farber
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Stephen Farber was named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in May 2013. Mr. Farber has been involved in various private equity efforts, including serving from 2011 to 2012 as an Executive-in-Residence with Warburg Pincus LLC, the owner of Rural/Metro. From 2006 to 2009, Mr. Farber served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Connance, a technology company he co-founded. Connance provides cloud-based predictive analytics and workflow technology services to healthcare providers to transform revenue cycle performance. From 2002 to 2005 Mr. Farber was the CFO of Tenet Healthcare, at the time the nation’s second largest hospital operator with $15 billion of revenue and 120,000 employees. Prior to becoming CFO Mr. Farber held various executive roles at Tenet, including Senior Vice President & Treasurer, Corporate Finance, where he provided leadership for capital market activities and mergers/acquisitions, among other duties. Mr. Farber began his career as in investment banker with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in Los Angeles and J.P. Morgan in New York, focusing on healthcare leveraged finance and mergers and acquisitions. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
 

Christopher Kevane
Senior Vice President and General Counsel

Christopher E. KevaneMr. Kevane was promoted to Senior Vice President and General Counsel in March 2010. Previously, he served as Managing Director and General Counsel since 2006. Prior to joining the Company in 2004, Mr. Kevane was an attorney with the international law firm of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey L.L.P., where his practice focused on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, securities regulation, including public and private securities offerings, as well as counseling clients on corporate governance. Mr. Kevane holds a Juris Doctor degree from Arizona State University's Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Arizona State University's W.P. Carey School of Business.
 

Christopher R. Yearout
Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer

Christopher R. YearoutChristopher R. Yearout joined Rural/Metro Corporation in October 2012 as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer after spending 18 years in information technology and 12 years working with financial systems. Mr. Yearout will lead the company's customer and patient data delivery systems along with overseeing research and development. Most recently, Mr. Yearout served as Chief Information Officer for GE Capital Bank where he focused on the bank's IT operations and growing its retail deposit business. Prior to that, he served as Chief Information Officer, Governance, Risk and Compliance at GE Capital, Americas, and as Chief Information Officer of GE Capital Financial Inc., leading a team of 80 employees. Mr. Yearout received a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Cincinnati.
 

Mark A. Lashley
Senior Vice President of Operations

Mark A. LashleyMark A. Lashley joined Rural/Metro Corporation in August 2012 as the Senior Vice President of Operations after two decades in operational and financial leadership positions. Prior to Rural/Metro, Mr. Lashley held numerous leadership positions with ARAMARK, a worldwide leader in providing food services, facilities management, uniform and career apparel to healthcare institutions, universities, school districts, stadiums and arenas. Most recently Mr. Lashley was the Regional Vice President for ARAMARK's healthcare business of the company, leading the food, environmental and plant operations services to hospital clients in seven states, the District of Columbia and the Virgin Islands. Mr. Lashley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Missouri State University.
 

Maureen Thompson
Senior Vice President of Human Resources

Maureen ThompsonMaureen Thompson joined Rural/Metro in July 2010 as Vice President of Human Resources to lead strategic and corporate human resources throughout the enterprise. Ms. Thompson has a demonstrated track record of working with large consumer product and retail organizations, including Retail HR Strategic Business Partner for The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, the world's largest tire company with annual sales of $18 billion, from 2006 to 2009. From 2002 to 2006, she was Vice President of Human Resources for LESCO Inc., a $585 million public company that was the nation's largest distributor of landscape and lawn care products (now an operating company of John Deere). Prior to that, Ms. Thompson was Vice President of Human Resources for Alamo Local Market Division, a division of ANC Retail Corporation, from 2000 to 2002.
 

Robert Fisher
Vice President of Supply Chain

Robert FisherBob Fisher joined Rural/Metro Corporation in 2010 as Vice President of Supply Chain to lead the Company's national supply chain program. Mr. Fisher's career includes 25 years' experience in managing supply chains, acquisitions and finance, with industry experience that spans computer manufacturing and sales, turf products, ocean shipping and EMS. Prior to joining Rural/Metro, Mr. Fisher was Acquisitions and Business Development Manager for Tropical Shipping in Riviera Beach, FL from 2008-2010. He worked at LESCO, Inc., in Cleveland, OH from 2001 through 2008 as VP Supply Chain & Customer Service and Director of Finance. Mr. Fisher holds a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Baldwin-Wallace College.
 

Rich Doggett
Vice President, East Zone and Specialty Fire Services

Rich DoggettRich Doggett joined Rural/Metro Corporation in October 2012 and leads all growth and operational strategies for the Company's East Zone EMS and Specialty Fire operations. Mr. Doggett is an experienced executive leader with nearly 20 years of national sales, management and marketing experience across a variety of industries. Prior to joining Rural/Metro, Mr. Doggett was Senior Director of Strategic Markets for Cintas Corporation. Prior to Cintas, Mr. Doggett worked for LESCO, Inc. as Senior Vice President of Sales and Store Operations where he led a team of 10 Vice Presidents and more than 1,000 sales associates. Mr. Doggett received his Bachelor's Degree from Harvard University and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the University of North Carolina.
 

Philip Forgione
Vice President of National Marketing

Philip ForgionePhil Forgione became the Vice President of National Marketing in September 2012 after serving as the Vice President of the Rural/Metro’s West Zone operations since 2010. Prior to his promotion, Mr. Forgione served as Division General Manager for Rural/Metro and Chief Executive Officer for San Diego Medical Services Enterprise (SDMSE) from October 2004 through 2010 and as General Manager for Rural/Metro and Chief Operating Officer for SDMSE from January 1999 through September 2004. Mr. Forgione began his career in the Emergency Medical Services industry as Marketing Manager for Eastern Ambulance in Syracuse New York in 1991 and was promoted in 1994 to Director of Public Affairs for the Eastern U.S. He became national Director of Public Affairs for Rural/Metro Corporation in January 1998. Mr. Forgione holds his MBA from Arizona State University and dual Bachelor's Degrees in Business and Journalism from Syracuse University.
 

John Karolzak
Vice President, South & Southwest Zones

John KarolzakJohn Karolzak serves as Vice President of Rural/Metro's South and Southwest operating zones. Mr. Karolzak began his career in emergency services more than 25 years ago as a firefighter with Rural/Metro Fire Department in Pima County, Arizona, rising through the ranks to Administrative Fire Chief. In 1992, he was named Market General Manager/EMS Chief for the Company's EMS operations in Southern Arizona. In 1998, he was promoted to Division General Manager for the state of Indiana, and in 2002 was assigned operating divisions in Kentucky and Parts of Ohio. In 2009, he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer of the South Zone, and in 2010 became South Zone Vice President.  In 2011, Mr. Karolzak was named Vice President for the Company's Southwest Zone. Mr. Karolzak holds a Master's of Business Administration and Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
