Mr. Carney joined Warburg Pincus in 1996 and focuses on investments in healthcare services and medical devices. He received an A.B. in Economics from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, Mr. Carney was a consultant with McKinsey & Company. Mr. Carney also is a director of Adlens Beacon, Bausch & Lomb, Constitution Medical, Keystone Dental, NuLens, RegionalCare Hospital Partners and Tornier.
Mr. Bartos has more than 20 years' experience as a healthcare executive and director, and was appointed President & CEO and a member of the Board of Directors of Rural/Metro Corporation in May 2013. He is an advisor to EDG Partners, LLC and is a Director of Alliance HealthCare Services, Inc., Cardiovascular Systems Inc. and Diabetes America, each since 2012. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Home Dialysis Plus. Mr. Bartos previously served as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director of LaVie Care Centers, a national long-term care company with revenues exceeding $1 billion annually, from July 2009 through the sale of the company in December 2011. From December 2008 to July 2009, Mr. Bartos was an Executive in Residence at Warburg Pincus LLC. Mr. Bartos was Division President for Gambro Healthcare, Inc. from 2000 to 2004 and COO-East from 2004 to 2005. Mr. Bartos previously was the founder, President, CEO and a Director of Endoscopy Specialists Inc. Mr. Bartos has extensive experience in business design, strategic planning, new product and service innovation, sales and marketing, and mergers and acquisitions with large, medium and small businesses in both public and private companies
Mr. Epstein is a founding member of the law firm of Epstein Becker & Green, P.C., one of the first law firms in the United States to specialize in healthcare law when established in 1973. The firm has since grown to more than 350 attorneys with 10 domestic offices. Mr. Epstein currently serves as the senior partner in the firm's Washington, D.C., office. In 1972, prior to founding Epstein Becker & Green, Mr. Epstein was a legal consultant to the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare. He currently services on the Boards of Directors and Boards of Advisors of numerous healthcare and venture capital companies and educational institutions, and was formerly a Director for Emergency Medical Services Corp. prior to that company being acquired.
Mr. Liu joined Warburg Pincus in 2004 and is responsible for investments in the healthcare sector with a focus on medical devices and healthcare services. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, he worked in private equity at The Blackstone Group and in early-stage venture capital at Draper Fisher Jurvetson. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Harvard College, where he received an A.B. degree in Applied Mathematics. Mr. Liu holds an M.B.A. degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar.
Mr. Rash currently serves as Chairman and CEO of RegionalCare Hospital Partners. Previously, he was Chairman and CEO of Province Healthcare, a NYSE hospital company that was acquired by LifePoint Hospitals for $1.7 billion in 2004. Prior to founding Province Healthcare, Mr. Rash served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Community Health Systems, Inc. He has served as chairman of the Nashville Health Care Council and as Chairman of the Board for the Federation of American Hospitals. He currently serves on the board of HealthSpring and previously served on the board of Odyssey Healthcare. Mr. Rash holds a Bachelor's and M.B.A. from Middle Tennessee State University.
Mr. Wallman is former Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Honeywell International Inc. From 1995 to July 2003, Mr. Wallman served as the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Honeywell International Inc., a provider of diversified industrial technology and manufacturing products, and its predecessor company, AlliedSignal. Mr. Wallman also has served in senior financial positions with IBM and Chrysler Corporation. He currently serves as director of Ariba, Inc., Roper Industries, and Convergys Corporation and has formerly served as a director of Avaya, Inc., Express-Jet Airlines, Inc., Hayes-Lemmerz International and Lear Corporation.
Mr. Wise has served as Chief Executive Officer of Coventry Health Care since January 2009. Prior to his appointment, he served a member of the Board of Directors of Coventry Health Care since October 1996 and Executive Chairman of the Board since December 2008. Mr. Wise was non-executive Chairman of the Board of Coventry Health Care from January 2005 to December 2008. He was a private investor and principal investor form January 2005 to January 2009.
