Rural Metro Medical Services and Products
Formerly known as National Ambulance,
we have been dedicated to serving the needs of our
community since 1952. We are a leading provider of emergency ambulance
transportation services, general medical transportation and other healthcare
services. We are the only local provider that is accredited by the Commission on
Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS). Over 400 employees provide high-quality services in the Metropolitan
Rochester area. With
a fleet of over 90 ambulances and other transportation vehicles, our Fleet
Services group are an important part of our operation.
The extended hours and expertise with emergency and non-emergency
vehicles has led many of our community colleagues to request the Fleet
Departments’s services, which we are now pleased to provide. Our
expertise also extends to a quality training program with a flexible schedule,
which is presented by an experienced staff to both employees and customers. Rural/Metro works with Medicaid, Medicare and other insurance companies to cover medical transportation when appropriate, and will work with you or your organization to provide safe and comfortable transportation at a reasonable price. Our Billing Department can bill your insurance provider directly for covered services. We Offer special services in the form of an Emergency Support Unit which servers as a command post for mass casualty incidents, Paramedic Bike Teams, and Community Education.
