The contract has an initial term of three years, followed by two 3-year renewal terms, for a total possible length of nine years. The contract is expected to generate $4.1 million in net ambulance revenue annually.

The contract continues an exclusive arrangement with the Sun City Fire District, where Southwest Ambulance has been the sole provider of emergency ambulance transport services for 33 years.

"We appreciate the opportunity to continue to serve the citizens of Sun City and look forward to building on our longstanding record of service excellence," said Michael DiMino, President and Chief Executive Officer. "As the largest provider of ambulance services in the state of Arizona, Southwest Ambulance brings expertise, resources and operating synergies to the community that presents a distinct competitive advantage over other providers."

Bryan Gibson, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, added, "The Fire District's decision to negotiate a new agreement to retain Southwest Ambulance as their trusted provider of emergency ambulance services illustrates the confidence and satisfaction that customers have in our ability to continuously meet and exceed the highest service standards."
